Description

Piper NEXA is an eco-technological multi-catch trap capable of attracting and trapping all

types of invasive rodents continuously and without interruption: from small mice

(Musmusculus domesticus), through to large sewer rats (Rattus norvegicus), black roof

rats (Rattus rattus) and others.

Made from simple but durable materials, it is safe for humans, non-target animals and the

environment as it does not use poisoned bait that are harmful for the environment.

Piper-NEXA is also useful in H.A.C.C.P. management settings, where it can guarantee

improved hygiene by eliminating harmful rodents that could potentially contaminate foods.

Rodents are attracted into the device by a special mix of natural baits (Piper-MIX).At the

right moment, an infrared sensor detects the presence of the pest and triggers the release

of a trapdoor. The rodent falls into the collection container under the trapdoor, which is filled

with deodorising liquid and water (Piper-SOLNF).

This capture and extermination method is very quick and more humane than conventional

methods. It should be noted that by using PIPER NEXA, every capture leads to the certain

extermination of the trapped pest.

Piper NEXA meets all animal welfare standards provided for in the of􀀥cial

international document AIHTS (Agreement on International Humane Trapping

Standards)

In addition, by keeping dead rodent bodies inside the trap itself, it prevents them being

dispersed into the environment.

The intelligent electronic control unit means it can differentiate between the presence of a

rat and the presence of insects, butterfies or dirt, reducing to a minimum any issues

relating to false triggering of the trapdoor. Furthermore, the materials used and the

electronic control unit design criteria make Piper NEXA immune to problems caused by

sunlight, arti􀀶cial light and vapour; in this case too, it should prevent the trapdoor being

triggered unnecessarily and also makes it suitable for use in any environmental situation.
